Plans are well underway for the annual Ross-on-Wye Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day for older and more vulnerable people to celebrate together.
The meal, sponsored by the Ross-on-Wye Lions, is a fixture on the Ross Christmas calendar. Guests will be pleased to know that a professional chef, on loan from the King’s Head in Ross will be cooking the celebration meal. Antony Humble will be in charge of ensuring that the turkey and all the trimmings are ready for the expected crowds.
Several local organisations, including the Ross Lions and EnviroAbility, will work together to throw one big Christmas celebration in Ross. All who attend the event are given a delicious home cooked meal and can enjoy the company of other local residents.
Paula Evans of EnviroAbility told the Ross Gazette that guests should pre-book and there is also a home-delivery option if anyone is unable to join the party at the Larruperz. Transport can be arranged for anyone who needs it.
For more information call Paula at EnviroAbility on 01989 763388 or the Age Concern office on 01989 763887.
The group is grateful for all the long standing volunteers who help on the day but there is an opportunity for more volunteers to help with the preparation on Christmas Eve at 10am.
