Dear Editor
I am writing to ask your readers, who often express their views in your paper so vehemently, to use their time to complete the online budget consultation with as much enthusiasm on Herefordshire Councils website.
As rightly pointed out by other councillors, the public consultation is important-so please readers express your views before it’s too late. We all have a right to have our say. This can be in person, via letter, email or online form but Herefordshire Council really does need to hear the voices of Ross.
The prospect of a closed library for our market town concerns me deeply, as an avid reader but also as a parent. The library is part of the centre of a vibrant town.
Finally I wish to express my utter disgust at the vandalism of the Tudorville Outdoor Gym area, the garden at Pendeen and the skate park. It took some effort on someone’s part to smash benches and uproot gym equipment.
I, like a great many others, would like those responsible to be held to account. Perhaps if these individuals put as much effort into their daily lives they would be of benefit to this community rather than an disgraceful embarrassment. If someone knows who is at fault please tell the police.
Thank you to the well meaning resident who righted the flower pots it restores my faith that there is more good than bad in our town.
This weekend I watched Xentricty’s production of Peter Pan, it was as always, simply fantastic. Well done to all involved - you are all stars in the making. This charity enriches the lives of those who take part and watch - you provided me with much cheer after a week of disappointing news. Thank you.
Cllr H Lerego
