Parents are being urged by Herefordshire Council to take action as the deadline for primary school applications is fast approaching.

With the deadline just over a week away, Herefordshire Council is reminding parents that time is running out to apply for their child’s primary school place.

Parents are urged to apply for primary school reception classes in Herefordshire, for children who turn five between September 2019 and August 2020 (those born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015).

You must still apply for a reception class place, even if you already have a place in the nursery associated with your preferred school.

For parents or carers who are unable to apply online, a paper application form can be requested from the council’s school admissions team on 01432 260925 / 260926 or email [email protected] or [email protected]

The closing date for all primary school reception class applications is midnight on Tuesday, January 15th, 2019.

Late applications may result in your child not being offered a place in your preferred school.
