WHEN Herefordshire Council showcased its engineering expertise at a national event, the Ross-on-Wye Enterprise Park was highlighted.

Invest in Herefordshire joined forces with a leading engineering company KGD at one of the UK’s biggest engineering exhibitions, at Advanced Engineering 2026, at the NEC in Birmingham, in a bid to attracting new business investment.

The two-day event brings together thousands of professionals from across the UK’s engineering and manufacturing industries, providing an opportunity to promote Herefordshire as a location for business investment, expansion and innovation.

Alongside promoting the county’s established engineering sector, the Invest in Herefordshire team is highlighting opportunities for businesses looking to establish or expand their operations in the area.

This included the Ross Enterprise Park, a 17-acre development offering new opportunities for engineering, advanced manufacturing and other growing businesses.

The first phase of the enterprise park’s construction will provide four serviced development plots of approximately one acre each, expected to be available from spring 2027.

Herefordshire Council’s cabinet member for economy and growth, Councillor Graham Biggs, said: “The county has a great deal to offer businesses looking for somewhere to invest and grow, and Advanced Engineering provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate that to a national audience.

“We already have some outstanding engineering and manufacturing businesses operating in the county.

“Andy by working alongside local businesses and promoting opportunities such as Ross Enterprise Park, we want to attract further investment, support business growth and create more skilled, better paid jobs for local people.”

The Invest in Herefordshire team used the event to engage directly with businesses considering expansion, relocation or future investment, as well as developing relationships across the engineering and manufacturing sectors.

Ed Pitt, managing director of KGD, said: “Sharing a stand with Invest in Herefordshire is a great opportunity to make new connections and help demonstrate why the county is a strong location for engineering and manufacturing businesses.”
