There have been several incidents of vandalism, including graffiti, at the skatepark in Ross-on-Wye recently.

The Council has recently approved expenditure for works to refresh the original artwork and the clerk has contacted the artist so that this work can begin.

She said: “That is yet to be confirmed although with the start of the school holidays it might be put back until September to enable the park to remain open in the holidays.”

She said: “The skatepark area has been the subject of sustained damage and vandalism in recent months with bins being destroyed and fencing damaged. The Police have been kept informed and I understand patrols in the area have been stepped up.

If anyone has any information about who might be responsible we would urge them to contact the Police so they can further their enquiries.”
