Herefordshire’s sexual health services are available to all residents, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender or sexuality

Representatives from Herefordshire Council and Solutions 4 Health are supporting sexual health week to raise awareness of Herefordshire’s ‘inclusive’ sexual health services.

Solutions 4 Health have been providing Herefordshire’s integrated sexual health services on behalf of the council since April this year. The free and confidential services are offered to all residents, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender or sexuality.

The services are available through the clinic at 15 St Owen Street, Hereford, and online and include information and advice on all types of contraception and testing and treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

Karen Wright, Director of Public Health for Herefordshire added: “Sexual health is an important part of people’s physical and emotional wellbeing and maintaining good sexual health should be as routine to people as visiting their GP or dentist.

“Herefordshire’s sexual health service offers improved access via the clinic at 15 St Owen Street and online, enabling residents to have better control over their sexual health.”

Councillor Pauline Crockett, Herefordshire Council, Cabinet Member for Health and Adult Wellbeing, added: “Herefordshire’s sexual health clinic at 15 St Owen Street, provides better and faster access to early help. The clinic offers a high tech sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing service with results available in just 90 minutes. This means residents can be contacted with their results and receive the right advice and treatment within the same day.”

Stan Thompson, Director of Strategy, Solutions 4 Health, said: “We’re proud to support Herefordshire residents with their sexual health and wellbeing. Our friendly discrete service offers free, non-judgemental, confidential advice, information and treatment to people of all ages, including those with disabilities through our clinic and our website www.sexualhealthservices4herefordshire.co.uk."

“Our new modern clinic also includes a large ground floor consultation room, so it’s easily accessible for people with disabilities.”
