Hereford Sixth Form College plan to lead a community archaeological excavation of a little known Roman villa, farm and early pottery kiln site in the village of Credenhill, near Hereford.

The College have been awarded funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund Young Roots Programme for the project.

The event is a perfect opportunity for anyone who is interested in history or archaeology, particularly all things Roman.

Parking is available in the south of the village at the Community Hall and Social Club. The site is located within the park on the opposite side of the road. Morning sessions take place between 9am and 1pm, and afternoon sessions from 1pm until 5pm.
