Around 150 guests attended the High Sheriff’s Lecture and reception in Court 1 at the Shire Hall last Thursday, where the lecture was given by The Rt Hon Lord Igor Judge, the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales 2008 - 2013.

The main topic under discussion was “2017 - Is our Constitution broken?”

There were a number of invited guests from Ross-on-Wye including Joyce Thomas MBE DL, Frank Myers MBE and Paul Deneen OBE JP DL.

Mr Deneen said of the event, “ It proved to be a most interesting and thought provoking evening, and Igor Judge gave an excellent presentation, and the event was enjoyed by all.”
