Volunteers from John Kyrle High School joined Hope Support Services’ youth sessions for their latest project.
The Ross-on-Wye based charity support young people aged between 11 and 25 years when a close family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, such as cancer.
Some young people from the charity were invited to make and sell lanterns at the annual Friends of Castle Green Fireworks Spectacular at Castle Green Hereford.
The Carnival Arts Group ran a workshop to teach the group how to make simple hand crafted lanterns, before the John Kyrle students shared some funky design and decorating tips.
The creations drew lots of attention on the night, and were a great talking point for people to find out more about the charity.
This is the latest Hope project that has involved members of the Ross community. Members of the Mothers’ Union, Warrendale Dental Practice and the Music Pool have visited.
