ANGELS visited Ross last Saturday. Not the celestial variety but the Hospice Angels, a group of motorcycle enthusiasts whose object is to raise funds for the charity St Michael's Hospice.

Each year the Hospice Angels organise a marathon ride collecting donations as they go. Last year alone the Angels raised £25,000 and in total over the years they have raised over £100,000.

This year the Angels will be riding from Ross to its twin town, Betzdorf, in Germany, then on to Hereford's twin in Germany, Dillenberg and, on the return leg, Saverne, Leominster's twin in the Alsace region of France.

For more information, or to make a donation, contact the Angels on 01981-240544.
