During the last few years we have lost so many trees in Ross in what appears to be indiscriminate felling, for example along the Town and Country Walk and by the brook at the bottom of Edde Cross St. My wish for the New Year is for the council to be less eager with the chainsaw and more diligent in repairing the pavements, potholes and crumbling walls, some of which are downright dangerous.
