Dear Editor

Has our MP, Jesse Norman, taken a vow of silence on Brexit now that he is busy as Minister for Transport?

It is incredible how an MP who had so many intelligent views and such an independence of mind prior to 2015, to the point of opposing his own party leader, has become so reticent in keeping his constituents informed of his current attitude and approach to the most important issue facing the country.

Even my own mother, who is a party member and long time resident of Ross, can’t manage to get him to reveal what he actually thinks (in fact, he may even have blocked her emails) and she has the power to get most people to open up and reveal their inner secrets!

His two websites (there may be others!) hardly mention Brexit at all, while in the newspapers, he sticks carefully, even obsessively, to local issues - are wild boar more important than Brexit?

The only thing they have in common, is that the government has no more control of the boars in the forest than the bores on its backbenches, the ERG.

Jesse didn’t voice his opinions during the 2016 referendum and the habit seems to have continued at his pleasure and our expense.

Please can the Ross Gazette hold him to account as we constituents on our own cannot, if nothing else succeeds force him to write about Brexit in his next monthly missive and refuse any other topic.
