Dear Editor,
In 2011 Pigs Alley, a popular cut through from one of the busiest car parks, was featured in Ross in Bloom.
Sadly now it’s a disgrace but so typical of the degeneration of quality of living and the public spaces in Ross-on-Wye. You have to pass drunks and addicts on the way to the stores - its a disgrace. No wonder tourists give us miss and use the by-pass which effects our businesses as well. Ross should be a lovely example of the towns in the region.
Its budgets, we keep hearing from the council unless it’s a pet project of a few councillors. But we all see how Ledbury and Monmouth are developing “in style” to the benefit of their residents. Ross is becoming tatty and suburban whilst some of our elected representatives sit on their hands and blame the County budgets.
Please keep up with the excellent worthy projects like the Defibrillators, but £2000 plus on new council furniture?
Come on Councillors, the people who care about Ross and who voted for you need to see some changes.
This was the birthplace of the British tourist industry in the 1700s.
