Seven employees at Whitchurch based steel fabricators, AJ Lowther and Son, have served the company for more than 223 years
Managing Director, Antony Lowther, had the pleasure of handing out magnums of Champagne and awards to the long serving members of the company.
Mr Lowther said: “There is so much management speak about how important people are to a company’s success but in a company like ours it is absolutely 100% the case. Without the support and hard work of these people AJ Lowther’s would not be where it is today. My family and our fellow work colleagues have so much to thank them for”.
The company is in its 81st year, moving to the fourth generation of ownership, and is expanding with new customers across the UK, investment in new automated production equipment and new offices in Wiltshire and Somerset. Mr Lowther added: The future is looking good. and what is really good for the long-term prospects of AJ Lowther is that we can combine the vast experience of these guys with the younger members of staff and the apprentices that we are recruiting and training.”See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
