Dear Editor,
The views from the A4137 from Whitchurch towards Pengethley westwards to the hills is classic Herefordshire. Wonderful long views.
Yet, at a time when Blue Planet II reminds us of dangerous environmental negatives of plastic there is a plan to cover nearly 80 acres of the countryside in permanent polytunnels.
80 acres is approximately 80 football pitches or over 1200 tennis courts so this will be a blot on the landscape that frightens away tourists to the county.
There is still time to object to Herefordshire County Council about this massive despoliation of our great county.
