Notices which have been appearing at various locations around Ross-on-Wye should be reported to West Mercia Police on 101 a spokesperson for Herefordshire Council told the Gazette.
The Ross Gazette is aware that the poster has been seen in Smallbrook Gardens, at Tudorville, on the telephone box in Broad Street and by the former Edinburgh Woollen Mill shop.
The notices suggest that an ’illicit drug manufacturing factory’ is being operated underground in the vicinity of the poster.
As well as detailing noises, such as a woman screaming, which can be heard, the poster asks people to visit a website. Several people have asked if it is a hoax.
A Herefordshire Council spokesperson said: “We are aware of these posters, and the police are looking into the matter. We advise members of the public to contact the police if they find a poster which they believe may be connected.”See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
