In last week’s Ross Gazette we took a look back at the opening of the Larruperz Community Centre, which was opened by the Mayor of Ross-on-Wye, Cllr Bert Raven, on June 22nd, 1990.

A comment on the Ross Gazette’s Facebook page identified those in this photograph as, left to right: Geoff Jones, Mary Dew, Dave Fishpool, unknown, Ron Lewis and Bill Martin. Someone else suggested that the man handing over the keys was a former Herefordshire Council officer.

The man right of David Fishpool, handing over the keys, has since been identified as Roy Thomas. Roy was the contracts manager of the main contractors, C J Bayliss.
