Temporary road closure in Weston Under Penyard
Herefordshire Council has announced a temporary road closure on School Lane (U70208), Weston Under Penyard, directly outside the village primary school. The closure, necessitated by essential tree trimming works, will take place on Monday, October 27, between 9am and 3pm. Officials cite public safety concerns as the reason for the restriction. Although the order allows for a closure of up to 18 months, the works are expected to be completed within the day. No alternative route is available during the closure. Residents with queries are advised to contact the council on 01432 261800 or visit www.herefordshire.gov.uk/contactus.
Barrier works close Ross-on-Wye roads
Drivers in Ross-on-Wye should expect continued disruption until early next month as Herefordshire Council’s barrier installation works progress. Roads affected include B4260 (Wye Street to Royal Parade) and U70710 (Royal Parade), which will both be closed for around a month. Diversion routes will be clearly signposted and available online via One.Network. The closures are necessary for safety during the installation of permanent barriers. Although the order allows for up to 18 months, the works are expected to finish by early November. For more details, contact 01432 261800 or visit www.herefordshire.gov.uk/contactus.
