Plans have been submitted to Herefordshire Council for a new self-build family home at Home Farm in Pencraig.
The application, lodged by local applicant Josh Baynham alongside agent Brett Baynham of Mike Etheridge Construction Limited, seeks full planning permission to construct a single four-plus bedroom dwelling on a 0.20-hectare site. Located off the A40, the dormant land was previously used as an agricultural paddock.
The proposed design features Audley Antique facing brickwork with stone sills, natural slate and flat GRP roofs, anthracite grey uPVC windows, and a dark red front entrance door. The site layout includes three dedicated parking spaces, a gravel driveway, and tarmacked highway access. As a single self-build development under half a hectare, the project is exempt from mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain requirements.
The proposal follows positive pre-application guidance from council planning officers, who indicated the development would likely receive officer support. If approved, the project will transform the vacant site into a tailored residential home.
