A planning application has been submitted to replace the roof of the village hall in Brampton Abbotts, which has been closed for several months.
The village hall was closed to the public following the heavy downfall of snow last winter, which caused problems with the electrics, and in the roof and ceiling.
Members of the village hall committee involved their insurers, builders, an architect, and engineers after they discovered the structure of the roof was more complex than initially anticipated.
Chairman, Robert Lewis, has submitted plans to remove and replace the existing cement/fibre corrugated roof sheeting with new blue/black fibre cement slates.
Residents have until November 6th to comment on the proposals which planners hope to have determined by November 20th.
