Many Greytree residents have expressed their delight with the publication of the draft Ross-on-Wye Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP), in which the potential development of 35 houses at Greytree has not been included.
Almost 300 signed petitions opposing the development were submitted to Melvin Reynolds, Chair of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group.
Elaine Leney, the petition coordinator, wishes to thank everyone for their active support. However, she told the Ross Gazette: “The agents working on behalf of the land owners may now comment on the draft Plan, urging for the sites inclusion.
It is therefore essential that everyone comments individually on the draft NDP, reaffirming their opposition to any development of the Greytree site.”
The six week consultation period began last Friday, November 9th and comments should be sent to Ross Town Council, The Corn Exchange, High Street, Ross, HR9 5HL or via their website www.rosstc-herefordshire.gov. uk/.See this week’s paper for more stories like this, available in shops and as a Digital Edition now.
