Two planning applications, which will see 72 new homes being built in Weston under Penyard were approved by Herefordshire Council on Wednesday, September 2nd.
The two separate planning applications are for sites on both sides of the A40, one adjacent to Penyard Gardens and one east of Hunsdon Manor. The applications were dealt with separately.
First up was the application for 35 homes on land to the west of the A40. Weston under Penyard is one of seven parishes in the county which has submitted their Neighbourhood Plan to the council and is awaiting approval. Although both sites were included, the plan wanted fewer homes on one of the sites.
Councillors approved the application and later approved the application for 37 homes on land to the north of the A40 and east of Hunsdon Manor – 13 of which would be affordable.
