The Mayor of Ross, Councillor Chris Bartrum has said the Town Council's latest meeting with Herefordshire Council to finalise asset transfers was "very positive".

The Town's Policy & Management working party met with Geoff Hughes, Herefordshire Council's director for places and communities, Councillor Patricia Morgan, Cabinet member for corporate services, and council officers last Wednesday.

At last Monday's Ross Town Council meeting it appeared the main sticking point of negotiations would be the new 'interpretation boards', to be installed at Ross Market House, which Herefordshire Council has signed up for a Lottery grant to obtain. Read the full report in this week's Gazette.
