As part of the on-going investigation into the disappearance of a valuable wooden relic, known as the Nanteos Cup, West Mercia Police have searched the Crown Inn at Lea.

The landlady, Di Franklin told the Ross Gazette that about 12 police officers turned up with a warrent on Sunday, August 3rd.

She said: "They told me that they had information which they had to act on, which claimed that the cup was hidden at the pub. I was searched as I left the premises and my staff were all kept on the site until their operation was complete." Read the full report in this week's Ross Gazette
