Local runners from Ross and Hereford gathered at the Traveller's Rest on Friday afternoon to limber up ready to take their part in the One Show Sport Relief relay.
The relay started in Scotland on Friday, March 16th, and with two days and under 300 miles left to go passed through Herefordshire on Friday, March 23rd.
The One Show 1000 travelled through the UK over 10 days, with 1,000 members of the public each running a mile, 24 hours a day. All those taking part and getting sponsored will help raise much-needed cash for this year's Sport Relief campaign.
Local postman James Weatherhead said that it had been a great experience. He said there was a terrific camaraderie between the runners and he enjoyed his first mile so much he ran the last mile for the group as well.
He has raised about £160 so far.
