The Ross Gazette recently reported that Copse Cross Street was set to be closed for six weeks, between October 20th and December 1st, whilst Western Power Distribution (WPD), the electricity distributor for the area, install one kilometre of underground cables.

After the article was published, a local resident, living in Edde Cross Street, brought in a letter they had received, which detailed several further road closures, scheduled for after the works to Copse Cross Street.

High Street, Broad Street, St Mary’s Street, New Street and Kyrle Street all have a six-week road closure planned for January and February 2017.

Old Gloucester Road has a two-week road closure planned, which is set for January 2017.

Gloucester Road is set to be closed for approximately six weeks, during April and May 2017.

Alton Road is expected to be affected by the works, and it is anticipated that temporary traffic lights may be required.

Chase Road may also be affected, and subject to a road closure, as work is carried out by Western Power Distribution (WPD) to underground cables. It has yet to be confirmed if a closure will apply, and for how long.
