ROLO, a barn owl at Hill Top Bird of Prey Centre (Hill-Top BoP), has been busy learning her lines for her first role on the small screen as a 'spirit guide'. Her co-star on the BBC short film is Shelagh McLeod of Casualty fame. It was the first time for Rollo's owners, Mike Hill and Lorna Davies too, who had met the director on a birds of prey management course in Surrey. "I really enjoyed the filming," Mike told the Ross Gazette. "It was a long day for Rollo, finishing at 8pm. She performed as well as she could in a new environment with lots of people watching her. She was a bit nervous of the big camera to start off with but behaved very well considering she hasn't been round that many people before." Read the full story in this week's Gazette.
