ROSS Court Care Home is inviting people from across the community to visit the home for an open day later this month in Ross-on-Wye.

The Ledbury Road care home will open its doors from 10am until 4pm on Saturday, October 24, giving visitors the opportunity to meet staff, look around the home and find out more about the care it provides.

Guests will be able to enjoy homemade cakes prepared by the home's head chef, while local music duo Christine and Gareth are due to perform from 11am.

Visitors will also be able to take part in some of the activities regularly offered to residents and speak to members of the Ross Court team about care and life at the home.

General manager Agda-Claudia Vasilateanu said the event would provide an informal opportunity for people considering care, as well as existing friends of the home, to visit.

She said: “I’m excited about welcoming new visitors and existing friends of the home to our open day.

“Looking for care can be a little bit daunting, but our team here at Ross Court will do all we can to provide all of our guests with the guidance and support they may need, and answer all of their questions, big or small.

“Our open day is a great chance to enjoy some delightful entertainment in a homely and friendly setting. Hope to see you all there.”

Ross Court is operated by Barchester Healthcare and provides short and long-term residential care for up to 37 residents, including respite care and longer stays.

The company operates care homes and hospitals across the UK and says it is committed to providing personalised care.

The open day is completely free to attend and members of the local community are welcome to drop in between 10am and 4pm.
