When Ross Lions heard about Harriet Setchfield’s fundraising efforts, they quickly stepped in and donated £100 to the cause.

Harriet, who is a member of 1st Ross Rangers, has been selected to represent Girlguiding Midlands on an international trip to Iceland.  Along with 50 girls from the Midlands, Harriet will be camping at the Ulfljotsvatn Scout Centre, where she will be taking part in exciting activities and hiking in an awe-inspiring landscape.

"I’m very proud to be representing both Ross-on-Wye and the Midlands during this adventure,” Harriet said.  “I’m also very grateful to Ross Lions for their donation of £100, which will help me reach my target of £1500.  When I’m back from my trip, I’m looking forward to telling them all about it.”

Leader, Julie Morgan, added: “It’s great that organisations such as the Lions support things like this in the community.  Harriet is working hard to raise funds, and it’s terrific that the Lions have noticed her efforts and have helped.”
