A new volunteer gave some time to help with the grass cutting at St Mary's churchyard. Local handyman, Dan Sherwood, visited the churchyard to tend to the grave of a relative and was shocked at the length of the grass. He decided to do something about it.

He spent several hours there on Sunday, strimming and tidying and then returned on Monday morning to do a bit more.

He told the Gazette that it is hard work, and quite a task. He was surprised that so many people said how pleased they were at the work he had done and he told the Ross Gazette that he will try to do it again soon.

Jean Bennett posted “What a difference, well done” and Diana Lerego said:?“Thank you Dan, you are so kind, a real star.”

Nicky Lee added “What a generous thing to do, thank you, it really means a lot to people who have loved ones in the churchyard.”
