Ross-on-Wye Town Council has agreed to spend nearly £9,000 on a report into the work they is essential at the Market House,
The Town Council took over responsibility for the iconic building as an Asset Transfer from Herefordshire Council.
At the Town Council meeting on Monday, November 13th the Councillors agreed to spend £8,950 from the Property Portfolio Sinking Fund on a report from a firm of architects to prepare a specification for essential works on the Market House.
The money will also be used to detail some of the less essential work, to prepare a listed building application and a scheduled ancient monument application.
However, it will not cover a calculation of the costs involved in the actual work which needs to be carried out.
