In November 2017 Deb Kirby was part of a team which trekked in Oman and raised £225,000 for Coppafeel, the breast cancer awareness charity.
Despite the gruelling physical challenge she said it was one of the most incredible experiences of her life and she has put herself forward to do it again.
She wants to do more for this wonderful charity and is really proud to have been asked to be part of the 2018 challenge. This year she will be stomping around Dracula’s lair, tackling the Transylvanian Alps, camping in the rugged wilderness of Romania whilst dodging bears and climbing 2,400m above sea level with team leaders, Tom Fletcher and Lisa Snowdon.
Deb raised well over £3000 last year, and is very grateful to everyone who donated and helped in any way. This year she is hoping to raise just as much, if not more when she takes part in the Transylvania Challenge this year.
Coppafeel is a breast cancer awareness charity whose mission is to spread awareness of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. Debs said everyone taking part has been affected by loved ones suffering from this brutal disease.
She knows that raising funds again so soon is going be a huge ask but she is determined to raise more money for this very worthy charity.
Deb and her family, including mum Sue Kirby, are holding a Champagne Style Afternoon Tea at the Larruperz Centre on June 30th, from 3pm to 6pm. Everything will be homemade and includes a glass of Prosecco. Tickets are £10 and booking can be made either by telephoning 01989 562512 or emailing: [email protected]. Entry will be by ticket only so they know how many to cater for.
