MEMBERS of the Ross branch of the Royal British Legion were joined by the Mayor of Ross, Councillor Colin Gray, and his wife, the Mayoress, as well as many local people, for a short Act of Remembrance on Monday, August 4th to mark the anniversary of the start of WWI.
Several other Councillors as well as the Town Clerk, Denise Mason, joined the group in the Market Place. Following the sound of a maroon firing, rather than the Market Hall clock, which is a little fast, the town centre fell silent.
