MADAM, I was out with some friends last weekend and I got out my new E-Cigarette in The Mail Rooms. I am trying to be healthier and my new E-Lite is just water vapor, causes no harm to anyone around me and is blatantly not real, as it has a neon green light at the end. According to the company it is also 100% legal indoors.
To my shock, I was told I would have to go outside with the rest of the smokers. I was told this was 'company policy' but given no real reason why.
This is the very reason why I quit in the first place and the last place I want to be is where temptation is at its highest.
I checked out the offical website when I got home and Wetherspoons offer no real reason as to why this is.
It seems in this country that smokers, even ex-ones are forever to be sent out into the cold.

In response, Eddie Gershon, Press Spokesman for JD Wetherspoon, told the Ross Gazette: 'While we appreciate the good reasons why people use E-Cigarettes, our company policy is a blanket ban of them. We have over 900 pubs and the task of identifying e-cigarettes from real cigarettes at, often very busy periods is unrealistic, therefore we have made a decision, across the board, to ban their use in any of our establishments.
