Madam, The week before Easter another very successful Junior Rowing Camp was held at Ross Rowing Club. About 60 children aged from 10-17 attended each day, through sunshine, rain and sleet; with the camp culminating in an afternoon of mixed boat racing and a barbeque for all children and their parents.

I feel confident in saying that despite the weather at times, every child thoroughly enjoyed the week, and the site was continually buzzing with excited faces and active bodies. When the weather got too cold and miserable to be out on the river, the kids had hot chocolate and indoor rowing competitions in the clubhouse with much excitement and team cheering.

The amazing thing is that the whole event is organised and run by volunteers, many of whom have taken time off work to be a part of this (and do the same again in the summer holidays). Over 20 people gave their time and skills to making the event run so smoothly and successfully.

Well done and thanks to everyone involved. You are all real Ross champions!

A very grateful parent
