MADAM, On reading letters in The Ross Gazette referring to The Heritage Centre and the TIC it would seem to me that, in order for the people of Ross to have an input into what, for a number of them, is an emotive matter, the fairest way forward is to hold a public participatory meeting. Then all the proposals can be properly discussed, all concerned can be represented and meaningful decisions made.
We are often told it is the aim of all levels of government to be open and above board and this would be a good example to demonstrate such intentions.
Perhaps The Ross Gazette will compile a form for Ross people to complete asking for such a meeting and constructive action.
Joyce Davis, Ross
Editor's note - anyone concerned about the TIC moving to the Heritage Centre should write to the Ross Gazette and these letters will be forwarded to Herefordshire Council.
