Former Councillor Joyce Davis has called for a public meeting to discuss the planned move of the Tourist Information Centre into the Heritage Centre. Currently the TIC is located in Swan House but Herefordshire Council intends to move it so that it is housed in one of the buildings it owns in the town. This is designed to cut costs.

However many people in the town, particularly those involved with the tourism industry feel that to squeeze two popular and well-used services together into one building would be unwise.
