Time is running out for local people to tell the Local Government Boundary Commission for England what they think of proposals for new ward boundaries across Herefordshire.

The public consultation closes on January 7th 2013. The Commission's draft recommendations propose that Herefordshire Council should have 53 councillors in future, five fewer than the current arrangements.

The plans also mean changes to ward boundaries across Herefordshire.

Max Caller, Chair of the Commission said: "We are keen to hear local views about our boundary proposals before we finalise them next year.

"We want to make sure Herefordshire's wards reflect the identities and interests of local communities as well as delivering electoral fairness for voters. "Time is running out to have your say."

The Commission's full recommendations and interactive maps are available at consultation.lgbce.org.uk and on the Commission's website at http://www.lgbce.org.uk">www.lgbce.org.uk. Copies of the Commission's report and maps have also been made available to view in local council buildings and libraries.
