VOLUNTEERS have transformed a public space to make it fit for the summer.
The ‘Railway Garden’ at the bottom of Ledbury Road was looking tired and an appeal on social media recruited a team of volunteers to spruce up the garden by trimming and generally tidying the area.
The Railway Garden is currently owned by Herefordshire Council, but the group decided that as the local authority had not tended to the land in over a year, they would do it themselves.
Sandra Brown said after the clean-up that she thanked all those who volunteered their time, tools and energy to make it look good again.
A Facebook group has been set up for those interested in helping out in the future, ‘Ross-on-Wye Railway garden volunteer group’.
