Hereford highways have issued a warming to motorists tomorrow as yellow weather warnings have been issued.

They said that difficult driving conditions may be experienced from midnight tonight, Thursday, August 8th with a band of heavy rain, followed by showers or thunderstorms, expected to pass over the county tomorrow, Friday, August 9th. They urge everyone to drive carefully.

There are also concerns that some events planned for the weekend will be affected. Baordmasters, a festival in Cornwall, has already been cancelled but Lakefest at Eastnor Castle is set to go ahead, although festival goers are urged to bring wellington boots and other clothes suitable for wet and windy weather.
