The Ross-on-Wye household recycling centre is operating on winter hours from now until March 31 2022.

Residents must book a slot to visit the site at Station Approach near Morrisons supermarket.

The site operates on Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 10am to 4pm.

In order to use the site you must be registered as living in Herefordshire and provide your address and vehicle registration when booking.

Residents are allowed up to four slots in any 14 day period as long as you book separately for each visit.

Pedestrians and cyclists are also allowed to visit the site to but they too must book a slot online.

While a host of items can be recycled the site will not take books, CDs or DVDs, plasterboard or printer toner cartridges.

The service is run by Severn Waste Services Limited on behalf of Herefordshire Council and Worcester County Council.
