Wormelow 1st XI welcomed local rivals Bromyard 1st XI to Kennelfield with the home side in need of a much needed win. Skipper, Tom Cutler, won the toss and had no hesitation in inviting the visitors to bat.

An emphatic performance in the field saw a strong Bromyard side boasting a couple of Herefordshire County Cricket Club 2nd XI players dismantled for just 75 inside 29 overs, the total being swelled by 19 extras. The Williams brothers, Findlay (4-9) and Elliott (2-20), were the pick of the bowlers and received good support from Tom Cutler (1-13), Luke Sparrow (1-16) and Ali Main (1-17).

The Wormelow reply got off to a stuttering start with the loss of an in form Luke Jones (0) when the score was just six. However, consistent opener Matt Deem (24no) was then joined by talented Herefordshire Under 15 captain Jasper Linley-Adams (31no). The second wicket pair combined to knock off the required runs in the 24th over without further alarm. Wormelow secured a superb and very important 9 wicket victory.

It was a trip to Flaggoners Green for Wormelow 2nd XI as they faced off with Bromyard 2nd XI, the visitors were invited to bat after losing the toss.

A superb second wicket stand of 105 between Alex Lane (94) and Dylan Baynham (51) was the highlight as Wormelow posted a very impressive 293-9 from their 50 overs. Ben Gunn (35) and Dave Bannerman (27) were the other main contibutors.

Bromyard looked well set to challenge on 74-1 with the only wicket falling to another Ben Porter run out. Spinners Dylan Baynham (5-14 from 10 overs) and Jeewan Puri (1-11) were then introduced in to the attack teasing and tormenting the home batsmen as wickets began to tumble. Will Langlands (2-19) and Ben Porter (1-5) mopped up the tail as Bromyard were dismissed in the 36th over for just 121. Wormelow coming out on top by the big margin of 172 runs.

There was a top of the table clash at Kingstone High School where Wormelow 3rd XI played hosts to Ross-on-Wye CC 2nd XI. Captain Mick Merrick asked the visitors to bat after winning the toss.

The new ball pairing of Jake Edmonds (7-4-6-4) and Jamie Worsfold (7-5-2-2) continued their recent fine form, running through the visitors top order. After the opening bowlers had completed their spell there was no let up for the batsmen as Mick Merrick (2-14) and Callum Omelasz (2-2) finished off the innings. Ross all out for a paltry 28 in the 28th over.

In reply Wormelow reached their target with the loss of three wickets in the 15th over with Andy Lancaster (15) top scoring, all the wickets fell to the impressive Elizabeth Jeffryes (3-5). A fine seven wicket victory for Wormelow, who are now just 12 points behind second placed Ross-on-Wye in the Marches League Division 4 promotion race.
