Ross Cricket Club is all set to welcome the start of the cricket season, as they begin their campaign in the Marches League, thanks to the work of a large group of volunteers.
On a weekend when the forecast was for thunder and hail storms, the weather gods were kind to the fantastic team which turned out to prepare the Cricket Club for their forthcoming season. Having endured rain for much of the week, it was a great relief to see the sun shining on Saturday.
After sampling the Captain’s bacon sandwiches everyone got off to a spirited start, and the assembled crew, totalling 43, who contributed in excess of 110 hours, set about the multitude of tasks awaiting them.
A fantastic weekend’s work carried out by a wonderful band of helpers sees the club well prepared for the season. Ross Cricket Club thanks everyone who gave their time, skills and equipment.
