HEREFORDSHIRE Women's skipper Chloe Tingle fired 44 for Ross CC at home to Eastnor 2nds, sharing a 62-run fifth-wicket partnership with Sachin Anil who fired a quickfire 33 off 33 balls, including two sixes and three fours.

Mike Pryor also added 25 not out and Paul Franklin 13 in the Worcestershire League clas, as Ross compiled a total of 160 all out in 40.5 overs.

Ross bowlers then had early success, with wickets for both Tingle and Anil reducing Eastnot to 13-2.

But stands of 60 and 57 took the visitors to 120-4 and they reached 162-5 in 31 overs.

But villagers Goodrich 1sts were celebrating a four-wicket Gloucestershire 5 win at home to Gloucester 2nds, after dismissing the city side for 153 in 32.2 overs, Matt Lewis and Jack Young taking three wickets each and Ryan Ward two.

Goodrich made a good start in reply, openers James O'Brien scoring 47 and Joe Provis 16 before Chris Tookey with 30 and Lewis 16 took them within sight of the target.

And Harry Mutlow with 10 not out and Matt Young five not out saw them to 156-6 with 2.5 overs to spare.

But the 2nds lost by 127 runs away to Tewkesbury 3rds, all out for 138 chasing 261-3, Simon Sharpe scoring 31, Colin Walker 28 and Aaron Thorley 25.

Fownhope 1sts also lost by four wickets away to Malvern 2nds after setting what they must of thought was a winning total of 300-7 in 45 overs

Richard Lerego fired 106 and Muhammad Zafar 97, sharing a second-wicket stand of 194.

But Malvern were up to the challenge and reached 304-6 with 2.4 overs to spare, Alex Carter taking four wickets and Craig Cornish two.
