Ross RFC 2nds were thumped 54 points to nil away to Berry Hill 3rds on Saturday, but took a lot of pride and food for thought from the game. Berry Hill were able to make use of a squad of 25 players as neither their first or second string had games. Ross lacked weight in the pack which Berry Hill exploited on numerous occasions, particular in the scrimmaging. There were noted performances from newcomer Paul Wooding, who seemed to be everywhere on the pitch and young centre Jack Davies put in some crunching tackles and looked dangerous with ball in hand.
