The girls’ teams at Ross Juniors had cause to celebrate this week: on Monday, April 4th it was announced that Ross Juniors, based at the Sports Centre in Ross-on-Wye, is now a Sister Club affiliated to Birmingham City Ladies FC.

In a statement made on Tuesday, April 5th The Birmingham City Ladies Football Club said they were proud to announce their first FA WSL Sister Club, Ross Juniors FC.

Ross Juniors are the first local girls’ club to take the opportunity of becoming an official Sister Club.

The affiliation with Blues Ladies allows the Club access to match tickets, player appearances, coaching sessions, camps, mascot spaces and so much more.

Blues Ladies Programme Officer and Vice Captain Kerys Harrop said; “We are really looking forward to working with Ross Juniors FC this season, who are a well established and successful girls’ club in their area.

“It is nice to know we can attract clubs that are further afield, who are eager to come and watch the top tier of women’s football in England”.

Ross Juniors FC has received several prestigious awards since their formation in June 2004, including 2014 Herefordshire FA Club of the Year.
