RUARDEAN Hill Rangers fell to a disappointing 3-0 loss at high-flying Tewkesbury Town in Saturday's Gloucestershire League clash.

Town led 1-0 at the break and not even a second half red card for contact with a Hill player's face could halt them, as the 10-man hosts scored two further goals to go third, leaving Rangers fourth from bottom

A Lee Morton first half goal gave Lydbrook Athletic a 1-0 win at bottom side Fintan to go seventh in Gloucestershire Northern 2.

But second-to-bottom Mitcheldean's woes continued with a 5-0 loss at Barnwood United.

Huntley lost 1-0 and top spot in North Gloucestershire Premier as hosts Blakeney leapfrogged them into pole position.

And Longhope were walloped 7-2 away to basement boys Whitecroft, Richard May with a consolation brace, leaving them ninth.

The NG1 Ruardean United match at St Briavels against Sling was abandoned, with the former posting that they would "not be commenting or speculating on the referee's decision" and would "await the official outcome once the incident has been investigated by the correct authority".

Elsewhere, Lydbrook 2nds suffered a sinking feeling losing 6-0 at home to Rodborough and Cainscross Old Boys in the Gloucestershire Intermediate Cup, the same fate suffered by Mitcheldean 2nds away to Harrow Hill A in NG2.

But Lydbrook's A team triumphed 2-1 away to Longhope 2nds in NG3, Jamie Hosford and Liam Chapman their marksmen, with Adrian Daunter scoring the consolation.
