May 7th, 1967 was remembered as being a particularly wet and cold day when Mr J J E Pennick, President of the English Golf Union, launched his drive from the first Tee to officially open Ross-on-Wye Golf Club’s new 18 hole course at Two Park, Gorsley, following their move from their nine hole golf course at Rudhall.

Members were therefore both delighted and fortunate that Sunday, May 7th, 2017 chose to be warm and sunny with perfect playing conditions to enable them to celebrate their Course’s 50th birthday in great style.

Members of the Club’s social committee, championed by former Club Captain Clive Whitson, Ruth Pimlow and Katie Greenwood among others, worked wonders to bring a party atmosphere to the day’s proceedings, which for those who took part, was much valued and will be long remembered.
