Mark Foster, playing off a 19 handicap won the South Herefordshire Seniors’ Open at his first attempt. He made a stableford score of 44 points beating Roger Watkins by two points with Peter Bubb 41 points in third place.
The day was a tremendous success with all 66 participants enjoying an excellent day’s golf. The course was in good order as was the weather. The other results were as follows:
Nearest the pin in two for all on the 18th green was Keith Field.
Nearest the pin visitor was Scott Thompson (Ross-on-Wye GC) and nearest the pin member was Mike Godwin.
The best visitor was Joe Irvine with 39 points (Ross-on-Wye GC) and runner up best visitor with 37 points was Fintan Butler (The Herefordshire GC)
The twos winners were Bob Gwilliam, John Tecke, Norman Lodge and Kevin Snuggs.
