As the weather begins to improve so the quantity and quality of golf has risen and the course at South Herefordshire Golf Club is in excellent condition. Continuing their early season form, Jill Wargen and Lynn Relph, have progressed to the third round of the Daily Mail Ladies Foursomes Competition by winning 1up against Burghill Valley.

The Ladies Section held an away day at Henbury Golf Club. All enjoyed coffee and Danish pastries followed by eighteen holes of golf in glorious weather plus a meal. Congratulations to the winning team of Lynn Jones, Mary Brigg and Tracy Price.

This was followed up with another victory in a friendly match against Forest Hills Golf Club by 4-0.

One of the major early season highlights was held in wonderful sunshine, as the Ladies Open was extremely well attended and members saw a victory for the local team of Michelle Clegg, Mandy Bailey and Mary Brigg.

The first Seniors Away Day was held at Burghill and a particularly large group had a great day, both on and off the golf course. Winners of the pairs competition were Pete Wilson and Martin Latham with 43 points, 2nd Mike Godwin and Brian Spencer 41pts and 3rd Keith Nind and Jeff James 41pts.
